HOT feet.

yesterday while pulling my boat home, my buddy was saying that his feet were getting hot. thought about this for a second and figured it was do to the downpipe. while pulling my egt stays around 1000-1100. is there anything i can wrap the pipe with to keep the heat from getting to the floor? i am sure there is some insulation i can put under the floor mat. any help would be great. thank you

I would suspect your auto trans is getting hot... do you have temp gauge and extra trans cooler ?

Mine used to get warm, since I put the B-Quite insulation in, it stays cool all the time. Other than that, make sure you don't have a leaking exhaust blowing on the floor.

my trans temp was around 165. the heat was more on the firewall than the floor hump. I checked to hump it was cool on my side.

Yes the B-Quiet/Dynamat does go under the carpet. It's more for sound deadening, but helps cool the floor as well. I got if off of ebay at the time, but don't see it listed anymore.

I went with this: It did help cut the heat & road noise a bit.
