Hey Guys,
I run an 05 F150 FX4 5.4 3v, I just turned 75k i was thinking of having the plugs changed, question is what plugs should i get to replace stock with. Summit has some offers. Are the Ford racing plugs good or too much on stock c/r. Also would it be a good time to do coils (maybe upgrade). Any thoughts appreciated. mods include K&N intake, Ford Racing headers, Flowmaster 40 series catback, Diablo Predator.
Read this thread https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...hange-out.html and others like it. The plug and coil numbers are to be found through the research you do hear.
You will also discover some much more valuable information than you currently are leading us to believe you have.
I did not intend to imply anything, it just what you did not say as opposed to something you said. There is a problem with the plug design for the heads on the 5.4 engine. They build up a carbon deposit that is the source of sticking the plug ground sleeves in the head causing the tendency to for the plug to come apart. The other threads will lead you through and provide the aftermarket part numbers available along with special tools and procedures you may find helpful.
