Did you have the widetrack feature?

The older SD's had the stabilizer down on the lower long adjusting collar and it worked there. For some reason they moved it up and it doesn't work there in that position.

My '05 with 17" wheels did it pretty bad. My '08 with 20" wheels has never done it.

Bouncing up and down, in and out or both.
They oscillate back and forth just like you were turning the steering wheel back and forth quickly. It's a resonance setup in the steering box where it fights the front suspension.

My '07 had the problem, new steering stabilizer and 2 new shocks ALMOST completely eliminated it. After about 20k more miles, it is beginning to come back. I am solving it for good Monday with new 450.

can they not increase the torque required to open the rotary valve?

I've been emailing Ford about this, they aren't any help.

This is all they say.

1. Ford recommends checking the pressure in all four tires while cold to
ensure they are inflated to the proper levels. Proper tire pressures are
identified on the door jamb label on the driver's side.
2. Ford recommends checking that tires replaced are of the same size, type,
and speed rating as those that were originally installed on the vehicle.
3. Ford does not recommend the installation of after-market lift kits or
suspension parts that are not equivalent to the original factory equipment.

Guess I'll do the opposite of #3 and put the dual stabilizer on.

I planned on keeping this truck for a long time, now I don't know.
Not sure what else I would buy though. Sure don't want a Government Motors truck.

Sure, but then the steering wouldn't be as easy.

Problem is, depending on tire and wheel weights, it changes things. I guess tire pressure also has an effect. Camber/caster too.

I'm not apologizing for Ford, I think it sucks to be honest.

I didn't experience any wobble with my '09 yet, but what caught my attention was you mentioning the steering being easy. My '09 has very stiff steering. I noticed it the first time I drove it. Maybe I won't experience the wobble because of that harder steering.

I second the stiff steering. I know I am turning a lot more mass than my old 98 F150 but this thing is stiff. I have a 2009 F250 CC SB. I figured it just needed to be broken in (only have 500 miles)

Maybe it will loosen up but I'm not sure, I only have 1,500 miles on mine.
