Replacing a/c blower
Fuse/switch/relay/resistor....all good.
It looks like I'm going to have to replace the blower motor itself.
*sigh*
This definitely looks like a job for a contortionist...or "Mini-Me"

If anyone can offer me some advice or helpful tips for getting at it and getting it swappwed, I would greatly appreciate it!
Right now I've got the glove box off, I can see the bottom of the blower motor (barely), and that's about it.

I've got a trip coming up really soon and I need AIR dang it!
Some tricks I learned that will save you time and re-work:
1. Spin test the blower to make sure there's no rubbing. IIRC you can adjust the wheel on the shaft a little.
2. After you get it in and mounted, do ANOTHER spin test to make sure it doesn't rub on anything. Now is the time to adjust the wheel to prevent rubbing instead of after you put everything back together.
If you haven't bought the blower yet, you can try a junkyard to see if you can get one a little cheaper. Powerstroke Shop (Your Premiere Source for Ford Truck Parts and Accessories) lists your blower for 97-04 so it looks like any blower from your body style should work (I'd double check with a dealership parts counter). They list a new blower for $74.69+shipping if you are looking for a price for reference.
"After you get it in and mounted, do ANOTHER spin test"
Obviously I'm looking at the wrong thing because I don't see anyway to "spin" anywthing.
What I'm looking at appears to be the bottom of the blower motor (I hope), and I was going to unbolt it and pull it out....but I can't see the squirel cage or anything like that.
(I was assuming that would be visible after I drop the motor?)
*sigh*
Now I guess I'm going to have to see if I got a bad relay (the new one)...check to see if there is any power coming out of it.
Surely someone out there has gone through this before....
Turns out the new blower relay I put in was in fact bad.
Assuming the new part was good sure caused a lot of headaches....and neck....have any of you tried to *get* at that blower?
Jeeez...
