I'm running larger than stock tires on my '03 F350, but they're not huge; they are 305 70R 17's. Here's my question, were I to have a flat and used my factory spare, would running two tires of different diameters (on the same axel) hurt anything? Front (I have a 4x4) or rear?
Make sure u run on the front axle hubs unlocked and u will be fine i have the same size tires and had a flat on the back had to take a front off put on back then spare on front 200 miles later no problems tell i got tire fixed.
If you have a posi or limited slip rear two different tire sizes will totally screw up your rear axle. I'd run the spare on the front, with the hubs unlocked.
I know you probably don't want to spend the money but you could probably fit that size tire on the spare and have it still fit if you want some piece of mind. I got in a bind during a snow storm and had to run a spare on the rear axle for quite a while that was a good 4 inches shorter than the tires I was running. I ended up just mounting a tall narrow tire on the spare and all was well after that.
