Sper Duty OD off light flashing

Sper Duty OD off light flashing
The Tranny in my 2001 Super Duty has an intermitent slip, down shift, late shift, hard shift problem which the dealer is trying to say isn't there. (they only drove it a few miles) also the OD off light is flashing which according to the owner's manual "indicates tranny problem DO NOT DRIVE VEHICLE Service imiediately" any clues to what could be wrong? Electrical, mechanical. Need some input.

The OD off light started flashing on my 1997 f350 psd while I was plowing in the last storm in Ma. In limp mode in set up an oppointment at a local tranny shop ( one with I trusted) I was told my touge convertor had blowen taken out cluthes etc. 63000, miles is about my estimate on how long your auto. tranny will last based on my experience and a friend who has three of the same trucks in his landscaping business.
