No it wasn't. They are not expensive. I have not tried them at night.

You're welcome, Diane. Most of us provide links to the various companies we discuss who have good (or at least good-to-consider) products. Makes the whole process fo sharing information easier. I think the only limitations are when we are "promoting" something where we stand to receive financial gain.

They do look nice, but I guess I'm sort of old school on this one, and I prefer gauges with the mechanical needle as opposed to one where the electronic display simulates the appearance of the older type gauge.

Also, I really don't want to have my OBD-II port consumed and have the gauges reading all their data from the truck's PCM. I really like the idea of being able to place my sensors where I want to and have the option of using AE with the OBD-II port while also having my gauges connected to sensors mounted elsewhere for either cross-checking the on-board versus aftermarket sensors or just using the additional information for other troubleshooting tasks.

That said, I still may ultimately go this route anyway with my Excursion because it will always be just a Daily Driver and/or tripmaker for the family, and I just don't want to invest heavily in the extra gauges that I want in my truck.

Pete, they are digital analog. This is actually faster then analog readings. The only gauge that reads from the ODBII is the ODBII gauge. The EGT gauge, for example, has a sending unit available for purchase that installs the same as my Autometer Pyrometer gauge did. Boost, trans temp, oil , and coolant temp is all available with sending units the same as the gauges I use to have.

The datalog capability you can purchase alone is worth its weight in gold.

Okay, Diane. Thanks for clarifying those details. I guess I was only looking at the mulit-gauge units for the ODBII app.

I've already started investing in the ISSPRO Performax series for my truck, but I will certainy keep these in mind for my "new" Excursion.

Looking at the interest this has generated, yes we will. Sometime in July. Jody is working on more indepth installation instructions. Installation is NOT for the faint of heart. I am impressed with them. I never thought I would like anything better then my AM ultralites. They're slick.
