Left Rear Inner CV Boot replace
Has anyone done this? I found a failure in mine (75,256 on the clock on an '05). You can see where it has been flinging the grease out of the hole. It is not a big hole but I don't want to wait too long to get it fixed.
Any advice on this before I get elbow deep in axle grease? I am better than a novice shade tree but not a ton. I am not terribly worried about doing the job, just how long it will take, and will I screw something up. Are there other things to look out for? Are there things that need replaced while I am doing that? (other than the Eibach springs I would love to put on...) Is it worth doing the rear diff fluid at that time (again - 75k on the clock)? Brakes are good. All the underside looks good too. This truck has been gently used for its life with us.
