HI EVERYONE
I posted this in the wrong section before so here goes.
I have a 58 f100 that has a 6 with a three on the tree,i just rescued it from the the forest and had hoped too keep it original but the engine is seized. my ? is will a 289 or a 300/ 6 bolt to the original 3 speed?
Many thanks
I am not sure if you have the exact same trans as I do but I have the original 3 on the tree with the original 292 in my '58 f100. Going on that I would say it is possible, there are others who will give you a more exact answer but that is a start.
Just call the F100 Farm in Leicester NC. Jon is the best... coyote swapped and full custom suspension with body... out the door probably alot less than you'll pay other guys for just the chassis...

I know you are new to the forum but thought I'd share some advise when you are going though some of the threads and decide to reply, look at the date they were posted , this thread goes way back to 2009..
I really wish there as some kind of speed bump, like before typing out a reply, a pop-up that said "You are resurrecting a 25 year old thread, are you sure this is warranted?" Some forums automatically close threads for further response after an elapsed amount of time, requiring permission from a moderator to re-open and continue a conversation that has aged out.

There is some good info in some of these old threads. I would not like to see them limited myself. That way we don't have to start over when we encounter an issue on one of our own projects.
