Suspension Lift

Looking to put a 5-6 inch suspension lift kit on my 2000 2wd Expy. Looking to put 35" All-Terrains under there and need enough clearance. Help is greatly appreciated, thanks a lot.

Suspension Lift

I am sort of a nerd and have studied this topic myself for my 99 5.4 w/LLS. I would have to say get the Fabtech lift spindles and add a 1.5" or 2" coil spacer. If you change the a-arms you change the handling a lot but the spindles and spacers will give you a 5" lift and keep the stock ride which was the most important thing to me. As for the rear, I have the LLS so I got the Fabtech 4" Airbag spacer kit and My truck is awesome now. I know I can fit 295/75/R16 on there but I am going tomorow to see if I can get a 315/75/R16 tire on there.

BTW if you do the fabtech lift (spindles and spacers) like I suggested you CAN use your stock wheels on it with 265/75/r16 tires but anything else bigger than that you will need a 16x8 wheels with a 4 3/4 backspacing. Let me know if you need help or part numbers. I have become an expert on this because I have been studying this stuff for 6 months.

Sure! E-mail me and I will respond with a JPEG. I don't know how to send over the forum.

Suspension Lift

Tonight I am starting the instal of an RCD 5.5" lift, BFG 315-75R-16 on 16x8 rims on our '98 EB. I also did a fair amount of research on lifts and agree to go with either Fabtech or RCD. They seem similiar and both use the new spindles for the front. I prefered RCD for the Bilstien shocks and the fact it was immediatly available when I wanted to order. I also was able to find more info regarding performance, installation and design for this lift, Couldn't find much on Fabtech's Expedition lifts. The RCD system was designed for use by the US Border Patrols and it sounds as if those guys really ring out their Expy's in the desert. I like the idea of somthing that has tested hard! Trailmaster also makes a lift which is much less expensive, but nothing is done on the rear to compensate for the increased driveline angle and a pretty annoying driveline vibration is the result. I also read somewhere about some failures with steering components when using the lift, but I don't remember the details. Hope that helps!:P

Shoot us a pic when you're done and let us know how easy or difficult you thought the install was.
