The storm killed my internet & blew down a section of my fence but thats all the damage I had. I helped my son cut up the trees that fell in his yard. He got lucky. None of the limbs hit his house I hope everyone is okay.
wasnt deathly blowing down trees strong in the La Vergne/Smyrna/Murfreesboro area. it had a little kick to it but nothing like the storms earlier in the spring.
We have some trees down around my house. One clipped a wire that was supplying most of the neighborhood, so we were without power from when the storm was in its worst phase until 3:30 the next morning. Some of Bartlett is still without power. A lot of Memphis is without power. Its another "you don't know what you've got 'til its gone" moment. I'm glad it wasn't terribly hot. So far I haven't heard it anyone was hurt - that's the miracle in this storm. We were out of town the year Hurricane Elvis struck. I don't know if it was worse than this, but this was bad in my area. Wind, lots of rain in a short time span, and lots of lightning.
It sounds like you had about the same storm I had out here. We didn't lose power but trees were blown down everywhere. I was on the lake fishing when hurricane elvis came through. We got off the lake okay but we were stuck there till the light crews cleared the road
We had a pretty nasty storm on Thursday. i was sitting in my truck talking to Huck and let the biggest part pass by, then during my 12 mile ride home i counted 9 trees down and 6 of them were large trees.
