Small-block Chevies in Vegas are a pretty popular swap, I've know two guys who had them and seen a couple more in the area. One swap I saw that was a little more on the unusual side was an Opel GT with an Olds 455 in it. I was told that the guy who swapped it in did no reinforcement of the unibody structure and whenever he romped on it the whole body would twist and back window would pop out.
Whe I was just out of high school I had a buddy who had swapped a 455 into a Corvair, keeping the back seat in place. The car was a real sleeper, from the outside it looked stock except for the wheels and tires. But with all the rearward weight, it was a real handful to drive and would swap ends in a hurry if you weren't careful...!

Hmm. Maybe it's best he doesn't drive anymore. Our familes are on the road, you know?
There's a time and place for everything, but there is never a time to drink and drive.

The guys at the local towing company put a 383 stroker with a turbo 350 on a frame thats around 4' long. It's got a ford 9" narrowed rearend bolted via a u-joint to the end of the tranny, and a straight axle front end. You sit on a seat bolted to the rear axle. I have seen it do estimated 40mph. Not sure if that is correct though.
My friend in college put a 302 in a pinto wagon. the first time he got on it, the body twisted and popped the rear windows out and the back door came open, but never could close it again.
Did any of you see the episode of Pinks. where the guy had a big V-8 in a Gremlin. He took off on the light and completely flipped it over backwards? Now that was funny.

i put an ancient renault 4 cylinder, 3 speed manual trans with a shortened plymouth rear end with some 4.11 gears stuffed inside into a homebuilt lawn tractor. i think that engine made something like 95-110 hp? Plenty to make you fear for your life on a 400 pound rocketship.

Just an update: I just bought a beat up Ninja 750 motorcyle... running for $200 cash. We are going to pull the engine out of it next weekend. not sure where we are going to go from there. My buddy gave me a 2 seat go cart frame and I also have a lead on a free ATV frame. I really want to pop that engine into a gold cart or a lawn tractor. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. I'm also looking at buying a fully ready golf cart with a three-hundred-seventy-something CC Skidoo motor in it for $300. We might just beat that thing to the ground and put that 750CC in it.
