4WD Problem
1978 Bronco 351M. I finally got around to pulling the tranny to take care of a leaking front TC seal thats been leaking for close to a year now. During the teardown, I noticed one of the front u-joints was shot and replaced it. It was on the transfer case end with the double u-joint and the small ball/socket between the yolks. I marked everything during disassembly and lined up everything putting the new joint back together. I forgot to mark the driveshaft before pulling out the unit from the truck so it may not be in the same position as when I took it out. Now, in 4 HI and turning it really seems to drag. In 4 Lo and turning the truck will come to a complete stop. If I give it the throttle it feels as if something in the transfer case is going to break. Before doing that front joint everything was normal. Where did I go wrong? Thanks for any help you guys can offer.
