Brakes

I have a 97 f150 4.2 2wd super cab with 206,000 miles. The brakes make a ticking sound when u push on them. I have already replaced the brake buster. And also the abs light will come on some times and will stay on when you really hit the brakes hard.

Have you pulled the tires to look at the brakes themselves? It could be a loose caliper or maybe the brake lining came off the backing possibly.

Sounds like the ABS is cycling and it's time for the codes to be read.
