The 5 bolt hubs on my 150 need to be replaced. I have manual Warn hubs from an '86 however they are not a direct swap. I also have a 3 bolt automatic hub from a '90 Bronco - the lock nut appears to be different. The hub tool I've used on several '86 manuals does not appear to work on the inner lock nut for the automatic hubs. Do I need a second tool to dissemble? Is there more to this than I assumed? (If you must insert joke here). Thanks.
I have never messed with auto hubs, but the conversion kits I have seen to convert them to manual do seem to always have new locknuts.
The earlier manual hubs had the double spanner nuts with the washer inbetween, while later on they when to a single locknut assembly that "clicks" when you turn it. They both still used the same tool. If you have hubs that take a bigger tool, then you must have hubs off the axle of a Dana 50 or 60.
