i removed the Hypertech Power Programmer tune (93 octane and firmer shift) this morning since i'll be taking the truck to the dealer for some service. while driving to work, after letting off the gas around 60, she started "settling in" but it felt like i had some slipping or better yet, as if the TC wasn't locking in....
coincidence or is it just "relearning" as if i took the battery out? It's been so long since i programmed back to stock that i don't recall it doing this.
I am no expert but my guess would be that it is so long since you drove it stock you forgot what it was like.
However if you suspect that you are not getting torque converter lockup give this a try. When shifted into O/D hold the accel pedal steady and press the brake pedal down A LITTLE with your left foot. If there is no change in engine revs then the torque has not locked.
Hope this helps.
