Well durring school yesterday I get a text from my dad saying the 6.oh won't start when he was leaving a party he was at he said srew it left the keys in it and went home. I get there with my friend and of course it starts right up So I wanted to go over to Pete's house so I took the better truck over there to his house and on the way home we needed to get batt's for it while were in teh store I get a call from my mom saying the truck won't start and she was about 45 min away. We drive all the way out there try to start it and it doesn't start. So I unplug the ICP sensor and try again still no go. Checked all the fuses still nothing. So my friend was like for the hell of it lets try to Jump start it. First try still it just cranks and cranks. I try it again but while cranking I give it gas and it sounds like crap but started up. It runs perfect now and started again this morning but now I am waiting for it leave me stranded again. So what do I look for now. I just replaced the ICP so I doubt it could be that.
Thanks
Nick
Maybe get it checked for codes. It might have thrown a clue when it didn't start, or while it was running rough. It probably set one when you had the ICP unplugged, so that might confuse the issue.
Another thought, maybe the throttle position sensor was giving a bad output until you touched the accelerator? Giving more throttle should not really have done anything, except that it would be like jiggling a rheostat.
