Powder Coating Wheels
OK i have a set of cragar keystones off my '69 mustang (i know this is a trucks site but i'm a member here). The keystones are steel outter with aluminum inner. My question is they are rusting and i wanna powder coat them so can i powder coat the outter steel or will it affect the aluminum inner?

Ask the powdercoating shop. Then decide if it's worth the cost. It might be better to paint or clear coat the steel part yourself, and save money towards new wheels. If there are just small rust spots (not big peeling areas), once you've cleaned off the rust stains from the good chrome and sealed the rust, the wheels could look just fine from a distance.
