Goodyear Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar

This has just become my favorite new tire. I wish they had been available in February when I had to buy new rubber for my AWD Durango...dang-it

the 285/75/18 is a 34.8" tall, 11.2" wide tire...since it's 11" wide, you should have no issues with rubbing at all

but yeah, you can slap a set of 35/12.5/18 onto your truck with that leveling kit...might have slight rubbing at full lock.

do you have the FX4 with 17" rims?

x2, Goodyear makes great tires. I like the tread pattern of the BF Goodrich's also if I go with bigger tires in the future, but I'll probably go Toyo in that case.

what about the Goodyear Silent Armour A/T then?

I paid $800 installed for a set of 265/70/17 (32", P rated) in February. I love them. I think "LT" rated would be about $900.
The only drawback I have is that Goodyear keeps releasing better tires. The Duratec is another great looker as well, and people with it love it

In my SUV, I went from AWD burnouts when I floored it...to the tires just sticking. They are also pretty quiet, and the offroad traction is awesome. I've already put them through their paces in the mud and was very pleasantly surprised for a semi-aggressive A/T tire

it's always nice to run huge tires...but what about just going up 1"? running a 33" will look pretty good, and they are almost $100 cheaper per tire
Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac - 275/70/18 - 33" tire, $217 a pop

Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armour - 275/70/18 - 33", $218 a pop

I have the silent armors on mine. to get a 18"er larger than stock you need to go to a load range "E", (8 or 10 ply)... they stiffened up my ride a bit. they want 65lbs of air in them, they look normal and ride much better with only 35-40.

$200- $250 a tire is an amazing price.
I'm looking at a... wait scratch that, I was looking at a set of Nitto Terragrapplers for my truck. Just a replacement size (31's on an 18") was going to cost me about $1700 installed. That was the estimate I was given.
Getting 4 tires installed for under $1000 is amazing to me.

I got a set of Firestone Destination A/T's, (one of tire rack's #1 rated tires) for $110 a tire from a dealer in Florida, free shipping. I have never paid, (and never will) over $700 (mounted and balanced) for a set of tires for ANY vehicle I have owned. There's always a deal to be had. Tire racks rating system seems to be right on. These are the quietest, best handling tires I have had on any vehicle.

Destination is a good one also...but the Bridgestone version is better

I think we'll see the Silent Armour get the top rating soon though. It just hasn't been out long enough to get the good ratings like the Destination

On a serious note, does someone want to sell me some tires?
$300 a tire is a friggin deal in Canada.
Anything I buy off the internet gets huge shipping charges that have to be paid before the order ships. Once the order arrives at my door I get to pay C.O.D. charges which are about equal to the first shipping payment i had to pay. So... S&H fees can equal $150 - $200 easily.
As for local, 3 separate tire stores here have given me a quote of atleast $1500 for 4 mounted and balanced 33" tires on an 18" rim. The 4x4 shop out here will charge about $600 just to swap out 35" A/T's with mudders.

There is no deal to be had in Canada. I'm getting really sick of this country.
