Seating question

Is it possible to take an EX that has Quad captains chairs and remove the captain's chairs and put the 60/40 bench seat in. Will those outside hooks line up?

There has been several people here who have done this and all the holes are already there, so yes they should line up. I myself am looking to go the other way but have not been able to locate a set of captain chairs that match.

Seating question

I was told one time that it would not work, but if I can cut a deal on a certain vehicle next week, we might have a win-win situation.

You can do it. Most everyone is wanting to take out the 60/40 and put them in and it can be done. The reverse shouldn't be an issue.

Seating question

Does anybody know if there is a company that makes an aftermarket bench seat that would be an upgrade to the OEM seat?

I just went from captains to a 60/40 last weekend. The holes exist under the carpet. I ran a tap through them and bolts went in fine. It's a fairly painless swap, just make sure that you get the seatbelt hardware too.

Now I just need to carry those heavy c-chairs up into the garage attic since the wife wants to save them in case we need them later.
