Its really true what everyone is saying about the 7.3 making some strange sounds. when
i first got my truck it was my first diesel and to me it sounded like the truck was tearing
it self up but after having quite a few people look at it iam told thats just the sound it makes.

It is an auto,however the noise seems to be coming from the engine. i am not overly concerned at this time because the truck seems to be working great and other members have told me that these engines are noisy anyhow. One wierd thing i noticed is that the engine oil was recently changed and still appears clean. My old 350 would turn the oil black in 5 minutes of running. Is this engine just clean? Thanks for a great forum.
