Does anyone know how difficult it is to replace the light bulbs in the instrument panel? I have checked the fuses and all are good but I have no lights on the right half of the dash. Should I try this or let a mechcanic take it?

Welcome to FTE.

If you should do it, or let a Tech do it, depends on how good you are with a screwdriver & how patient you are, but it's doable by most folks.

Do a site search & you'll find a number of posts & photos by those that have done it.

Some replace the incandescent lamps with an LED type, but most replace ALL of the lamps while their in there.

Danged good post Mike, bet even I could get it done with those nice pictures & tutorial. lol

Of note, if we'll run our dash lights at less than full bright, we can make them last a lot longer!!!!

So bachne gonna try it, bet you could get it done too & save a good bit of your gold!!!!
Let us know how it goes.

it is not a super difficult job, i did it myself by using the same guide listed below, just be take your time and be careful unplugging the wires at the back of the panel

Another thing worth mentioning. If you do this job, don't skimp on the bulbs. Make sure to get the 194LL (Long Life) bulbs as opposed to standard bulbs. Hopefully it will be the first and last time you have to replace the cluster lights.

its also best to go ahead and change all of the bulbs while you are in there instead of just changing one or two at a time
