have you checked out the Gear vendor site it offeres a 2 spd spliter transmission adaptor that is composed of a over and under gear split hope this helps Tony
The smallest Ford truck that had a 2sp rear end was the F500/600 series. I beleive tires were 7.50 or 8.25 X 20, with either 5 or 6 hole Budd wheels. You could go down to 6.00 X 20 to help the diameter.
6.00 x 2 + 20 = approx 32"; 7.50 X 2 + 20 = approx 35". I think the problem might be the overall width. Gear Vendor makes a automatic direct/overdrive. US Gear makes 2 models; 1=direct/under and 2=direct/over. Advance Adapter's makes, I beleive it is called a Ranger, unit that fits between a manual trans & the bellhousing. It is like the US Gear; D/Ud or D/OD. Other than going to a HD 3 or 3 speed aux, Those are the only options that I am aware of. Hope that helps a little Elliott
