new cdr ford only?

I know that my cdr is shot and want to replace it. Is Ford dealer the place to get one? I have checked witht the local parts places and they have no idea what I am talking about. I really hate buying from the stealership, they seem to think all there parts are gold plated or something.

Little pieces of the diaphram fall out and will not hold a vaccum, just suck air right on by. I may try the local yard, last I knew they had a couple idi's sitting back there.

Try this here they have some very good discount on there Ford parts. All you have to do is register with the site. I have had very good luck with them and I buy all my dealership parts from these people. Silver State Ford Parts Genuine Ford Truck Parts Lincoln Mercury Parts OEM Ford Parts and Accessories. My 88 f-250 needed a cruise control servo my dealership said that part was no longer available they got the cruise control servo.

Ford calls this item a "Adapter assembly for Crankcase Ventilation" Part number "Adapter assembly for Crankcase Ventilation" Part number E3TZ-6A665-A or
IH part #1805319C1

I tried the bypass route two ways. One was just a road tube and it made a mess of oil and the smoke bugged me. The other was to turn the bad cdr around against the intake hole and run a tube to an oil trap then out of that into the breather body. Thiss still allows some oil into the breather and makes a mess of the filter and the inside of the breather. Boss 302, thanks for the info, I will check out the site and hopefully get one if money allows, we have only been working 32 hrs since the end of jan. so money has been tight.
