It could be turned into a manual but not the same manual as a manual shift transfer case. The Bosses that are open on the manual shift case are not open on the electronic shift and vice versa. The electric shift uses a different cam to move the internals into low, high, 4x4 and 4x2 positions. You would have to use a cable that would turn the shaft to the right clocking positions from about the 8 o'clock counter-clockwise to the ~12 o'clock position. It would be easier to either replace the shift motor or swap everything over to the manual shift transfer case.

i plan to go manual i was jst doing my research for when i get stared hoping to go to the junk yard and find a 4.9 linked to a zf and transfer case when i get started shure save some time chasing parts. lol
