I just bought an 04 F-350 with the 6.0 Powerstroke. Does anyone know how I could tell if it has a chip or anything done to the computer? It runs better than an 6.0 that I have driven. It is a reg cab so I know its lighter but had an 8" lift and 37x12.50's. It pulls really hard and I didn't want to buy a programer if it already has something done to it.

you wont be able to tell if the PCM has been flashed with a tune. It is very possible that it does have tune on it. If I were you I would get the dealer to flash it back to stock, and put an SCT on it. That way, you would know exactly what you have and there will be no guessing.
