PC Interface Cable

I just bought a PC OBD2 Interface Cable. It came with some free software that works ok. Anyone else have one of these? Can someone recommend better software? Preferably freeware since this is only for my personal use and not to make a living.

The software is probably mated to the hardware interface cable by the programmer.

You'll need to identify the maker of your stuff for any specific advice.

I bought it on Ebay. Kind of generic. It is supposed to be ELM 327 compatible.

Yea I have one of the ELM 5 (ELM 327) Odb ii scanners for awhile, The free software that comes with it sux, and there is no Freeware that works any better. Your best bet is to look around and Pay $50-$100 for a good software, palmer engineering makes one, and myscantool.com is another. Hope that helps.
