Check the fuse in the fuse panel for the turn signals.

The Emergencey flasher, and the Turn signals are on seperate fuses.

They also have different flashers as well.

I agree with 81 F150 Explorer.

BTW,I have a sort of similar problem.Except for my flashers work,as well as the front turn signals. The rear turn signals do not flash nor do they come on when I apply the brakes.I've checked the fuses, and everything seems fine. One thing I had a problem with is the previous owner had cut all the taillight wiring. When I first got the truck,I had no lights at all back there, but when I reconnected all the wires, the rear taillights now come on when I turn on the lights.I'm guessing the lights don't come on when I hit the brakes because of this switch, but i'm not too sure....Any help?

I would recheck the wiring
The brake light switch feeds the stoplights through the turn signal switch
A bad T/S switch however will keep stop lights and rear signal lights

I agree with Ray above.

Bad wiring, or a defective TS (turn signal) switch can cause your problems, Fordtruckman80.

Test the wires at the steering column connector, for the rear turn signal and brake lights. If you have power there, it's the rear wiring. If you don't have power, it's very likely to be the TS switch, because your front turn signals works.

1980/83 F100/350 & Bronco Turn Signal Switches

1980/83 F100/350 & Bronco: There are two different turn signal switches.

E1HZ13341HA .. Turn Signal Switch / Use without Tilt Wheel / Available from Ford.

MSRP: $ 87.00 // FTE sponsor: y2kfordparts.com price: $63.00.
--------------------------------------------------------------
E1TZ13341D .. Turn Signal Switch / Use with Tilt Wheel / Obsolete

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 18.

WESLEY OBSOLETE PARTS in Liberty KY has 1 = 606-787-5293.
- - - - - - - -
RAMEY FORD in Johnson City TN has 2.

BOECKMAN FORD in Kingfisher OK has 2.
---------------------------------------
FYI: Before buying one without a tilt wheel, be aware that the tilt wheel feature on these and 1978/79's (most cars prior to 1981), works off the turn signal handle.

Since Ford was the only automaker to do this, many people are totally unaware their vehicle has a tilt wheel.

Press the turn signal handle forward = BOING!
