Reason: spelling
I pull stacked hay wagons with mine, ~6-8,000 lbs, but that's at less than 30mph. I'm hard on my stuff. But the 4.9L has plenty of low end to get going with a pretty hefty trailer behind it. Not sure what the official towing specs are for it. Many states limit you to under 3500lbs unless you're set up with electric brakes for your trailer, so that's probably going to be your real limit.

Reason: Bad math... fixed it.
Your H9 is a 3.55 limited slip (and still may be limited slip if it has been properly maintained & serviced; but that's for another thread...). According to the 1994 F-Series Owner Guide, the 300 5-speed is rated to tow up to 3300 pounds if 2WD, 3000 pounds if 4WD. GCWR is 7800 pounds whether 2 or 4WD.
