Computer Help Before I Spend $300

I have a 2004 350 a.t. the truck will not crank and the back up lights do not work. Everything else is fine all fuses and relays have been checked and wiring, the ign works, starter, signal from trans range sensor. The truck batteries were drained with the key left on before i got it, which leads me to think it is a possible bad pcm. Any thoughts before i drop 2 or 3 hundred on a pcm. THANKS!!

Batteries been load tested? Not that thats the issue at this point but iffy batteries cause all sorts of weird issues.

yeah, new batteries. I thought i saw something on here before about the pcm's frying with a low voltage situation and iwas hoping to verify that.

If your batteries are up...can you run diagnostics? Go by Advance/Autozone/PepBoys...free scan...who knows, maybe something will come up.

yep, done that, at first no codes, now a cannot communicate error. DUH probably shouldn't left that out in the first place, ok let me have it!
