The Chapion family will be mentioned by my family in our prayers.

Thanks for posting, Huck. As often as the Lord reminds me, I'll pray for the Champion family, and also for you as a close friend so that you can be blessed with the necessary wisdom to be the friend they will need a this difficult time.
I'll never in my life forget our back door neighbor who came so faithfully to see my Dad when he was dying last year. The night Dad died, Mr. Brannon came over again and said he was staying through to the end, knowing it was very soon. He just sat beside Dad for hours, holding his hand, shedding tears occasionally, and praying for him. When Dad passed, Mr. Brannon satyed with us all through the evening until after 1:00 AM when the ambulance finally took Dad's body. They had been friends, best friends, for nearly 45 years, and it still brings tears to remember both the depth of friendship between them and the selfless love shown by Mr. Brannon to be there with us as one of the family... quietly, respectfully, but very present and ready to help at every turn.
