Shift Kits/Trans Pacs
Hi,
I would like to put in a shift kit or what we used to use in the 70's a B&M Transpac to firm up the shifting on my F150. I don't want to get a chip. I have a 2000 F150 4x4 Lariat 5.4 litre with an automatic and factory tow package. Also on other outfits I have owned, I could usually shift into the torque converter before shifting from overdrive into third. I don't know if I am saying this right. I call it torque converter shift when I could gas it just the right amount and use the "torque converter shift" before going into third. My truck right now just seems to go from overdrive to third...and quite hard I might add. Any ideas?
