I steam cleaned my engine 1990 7.3 and got watter in my oil . It came in from a plug on the intake . to see were it goes I have to remove the intake manifold turbo and what ever else just so I can just see were it goes . I can't find any pics or notes talking about it . HELP
It looks like a plug and it is flush with the valley pan. The outside is supposed to help hold the pan gasket down and the hole should drain the water off the engine. When I washed it I plugged the breather on the valve cover and when I started it oil came out of the center hole in the plug. I guess the crankcase was pressurized. I turned it off and checked the oil and water was in the oil . I unplugged the breather and got the oil changed but still don't understand what is on the other side of that 3/8 hole. So if I decide I don't want to wash it and leave all that muck (I think maybe that is where all that muck comes from) it seems it would have to suck dirt and anything else that came along into the crankcase.
