10k mod

With the 10k mod is there any certain resistor you guys suggest getting? Also does this take place of doing ICM or is it just another little mod?

There are two different ways to accomplish the 10k mod, one inline and one in a bypass configuration. I cannot remember wires are involved, but it is involves the ICP harness. I wired mine to switch from 10/15/20K. I have not dynoed or ran a fuell consumption test so I have no idea which one is better. 20 dramatically reduces throttle necessary to accelerate. The mod increases HP Oil Pressure. The IDM mod is completely different. It increases injector solenoid voltage.

the IDM mod is cheap, a little more involved in doing it, some soldering of small parts and what-not...

6637 DIY air filter and a downpipe are basic good mods

if you search the topics for 6637 filter mod or tymar intake you can probably find pictures and such...

All it is really is a 4" pipe with a 45* bend and a Napa part # 6637 air filter.

Best place to get it is from Riff Raff Diesel... they've got the best price i've found

k&n is not recommended on these trucks. It lets dust through and sandblasts the turbo. Go with the 6637. I used to run a k&n and I now have a new turbo wheel at the shop to install when I get time cause mine is blasted

pretty much everyone on here is gonna say "Get rid of the K&N". They really don't do well on our engines.

Everything else looks good. IDM mod is a good one.
