97 Ranger2.3 5spd skipping after leveling off
Hey all iv'e got a 97 ranger xlt 2.3L 5spd it idles fine it accelerates fine but after you level out in any gear mainly 4&5 it skips something awful. Iv'e checked plugs,wires,coils and filters all seem fine.any advise would be appreciated.

EGR sticking?
Fuel pressure dropping?
I had an intermittent "trailer-hitching" that I thought was EGR related. Plug EGR, goes away. Got new EGR control and it didn't cure the problem. Check the plug wires in the dark to see if they are arcing to the engine. New wires fixed mine.
