While browsing CL this evening I came across a 1986 F-250HD SC 4x4, 460/C6 for $300. It has 60k miles on the drivetrain and a Warn winch. It needs a distributor and an ignition switch. The guy just spent a ton of money on it chasing down an electrical problem and the shop I picked it up from said the 2 parts should fix it. The top half of the motor looks almost brand new. The body is a little rough, and the interior isn't perfect, but overall it's in decent shape. I'm gonna try and fix it and give it to my mother for her business, but the winch is going on my trailer. Here's the pics, had to use my mother-in-laws excursion since I am currently without a truck.

I'm going to borrow some parts from my truck to try and get this one running. That way if the truck is a dud, I'm not out any money and can put my truck back together. I mainly bought it for the winch. I had saved $300 to get a new winch but saw the ad and thought why not get a free truck as well.

I dont see the odds of me getting another free bed and front clip as being very good, so this truck will probably stay as-is body wise.

All the roughnicity...hey, I just made a new word, is on the passenger side. If you look closely in the second pic, the fender right next to the turn signal has been pulled out a few inches. There is also a kink in the bottom edge of the bed on the passenger side. It's got a lot of scratches too as the PO used it for a landscaping business.

Unless I am mistaken, didn't Nobel invent dynamite?!?! It's your call but don't nuke your other rig too bad, you may not love it right now, but we do. If I remember from a while back, I think you wanted to paint it entirely in a flat black and for some reason I thought that would be cool.
