lift and shackles, Is this okay?

Got a 04 ford 350 diesel. Already have a 4" procomp lift with pitman arm and drop bracket. Wondering if it would be okay to ad a 2 1/2 inch shackle lift to the rear of the spring as well. I've just installed it and need longer stabelizer links. In my search for stabalizer links I was told that this is not safe to have the lift and the shackles. Somthing about the pivot angle. I didn't quite understand what the guy was saying. Any thoughts or suggestions on this?

I would do it right and get larger springs. The shackles will be more problems and cause the springs to dearch faster. Please tell me if you used shackles you got a decent set... Flimsy shackles and a decent load will spell trouble. A good properly designed lift will make the truck a pleasure to drive when you piece it together and do do it correctly its a time bomb with either part failures or possible injury.

I got the shackles off of e-bay. They look like they are pretty strong. They look heavyer than the stck shackles. The reason for these shackles is to compensate for the sag in the lift that is already on it.
