I think they just moved stuff over to a bigger server.

I noticed that my thread display options changed to "default" (2 weeks) from "beginning".

Probably happened to everyone. Go to your user cp/edit options and scroll all the way down to "Default Thread Age Cut Off". That's the culprit.
