There are bellhousing differences in those years between small block, big block, and modular motors. There are a couple different solenoid packs as well I think '89-'94, '95-'98, and '98+ PWM ( Transtar Industries, Inc. - Technical ). Other than that I think you're good to go. I'm by no means an expert, but I'm rebuilding mine now...If I had to do it over again I would rebuild a core out of the vehicle then switch out, or just buy a unit. I've seen some that list all the good stuff in the $2500 range. I'm going on two weeks for the build and should get the last of my parts tomorrow. Wish me luck.
