Need help
Guys,
I installed my Air Lift in cab compresor to day. I noticed when operating the compressor the truck would turn off and then would turn back on with no problem. I was driving to go and pick up my son from day care and when I came to a stop, and tried to take off the truck shot off. The SES light came on and code P0781 (1-2 Shift error). I noticed a slight hesitation in my truck for about a year now and after the DP tuner instalation it's now more noticeable. This as nothing to do with the DP tuner, but these are my current up grades: JWVB, DP Tuner, Banks Bighead, Six Gun (ues as a gauge), and whicked wheel. I need some guidance really bad!

What's the power source for the compressor? It may be drawing too much current from another engine component like the IDM or PCM causing it to shut down. I would run a fused line direct from the battery for one of those. Those compressors have to draw a lot of current.
As for the miss/hesitation, I would check the under valve cover harnesses first. Can you get any codes?

Try an internet search on "inline fuse holder" and you should get plenty of hits.
Basically it is a short piece of wire (approx 16 ga) with a fuse holder in the middle of it. Splice it into the line that you will run directly to the battery. It will protect the component from getting fried.
As to the size of fuse holder that will work, I will leave that to the more experienced members here to advise you.

I just installed a set of firestone air bags and they work great. Tomorrow I'll go and see where I sourced my power from and let you know. Right now it's dark and my truck is outside.
