Hey can anyone tell me what 80in pounds is in foot pounds?

80in lbs / 12 in = 6.6666 ft lbs

I would not try using a ft/lb torque wrench down that low if I were you.

It is NOT going to be accurate enough. 6 ft/lbs is about finger tight for me

on my honda dirt bike it calls for 8ftlbs all of the time.. my dad always told me that 8ft lbs should be as tight as you can get it with a nutdriver.. ( screwdriver with a socket on the end of it)

I was going to recommend an inch pound torque wrench from harbor freight but the low range minimum was 20 inch pounds. I would say gentley snug it with an 8" 3/8 ratchet wrench because my fingers are not as strong as stosh's!

Just exactley what is it you're trying to fasten, anyway?

Thanks guys but doesnt matter now droped the tranny pan and it wasnt good I was hoping it was in the torg on the vb or something small
but it aint small lots of little meatl peices in the pan(found what we fig out to be is one of the #3 or 4 or 5 needle bearings may have been in the wrong place or in backwards)
.so motor and trans is ready to be pulled again
will let ya know when I see what went so wrong with the rebuild
but for tonight its going to be a fight of EVIL WILLIAMSthe tv and a half nakey wife

Does any one know where I can get the needle bearing kit for a 1990 AOD

No S#!^ seen his tires in the other post? needs fingers the size of my wrist to put those on...

Was hoping it was a bad torg on the VB but read up and it was worst than that what was left od a needld bearing but thanks to all(burb dam evil williams)hey strost ya got a spare AOD with a 10 1/2 tailshaft ya just want to send to me (because ya inceart something here)
