How long does it take for the pictures I uploaded to be able to be seen in my gallery?

95_Dually Can you do me hugh favor? I Need to know how long (eye-to-eye) the rear shackles are on the OBS dually. A quick rough measure to the 1/2in would be great. Thanks in advance!

They are identicle to a SRW OBS truck... When I did my SRW swap I used the springs and axle from a SRW and they bolted right into my dually

So they are the same? Ford lists one part# for 250's, one for 350's, and yet another for the DRW. If they are the same (I thought they would be) then that makes my life easyer, but what I really need to know is how long they are. I bought my truck lowered, and now I am towing a longer heavier gooseneck so I need just a couple inches to assure that I won't be slamming the bump stops. I think that moving back to the stock shackle would be almost perfect, seeing as how my shackles are almost 7 inches long.

The only differences in the springs would be the spring rates and the dually's had overloads on them...

If i wasn't at work I could measure the length. Changing the shackle might be all you need.

Thanks very much, that is exactly what I want to hear. So, if my shackles measure at 7 1/2, and the stock shackles measure at 4 1/2, I should see about a 1 1/2 inch difference at the axle....perfect. 95_Dually, Brown Falcon, thanks very much for your help.

You are very welcome. Brown Falcom, what was your reason for changing your truck from a DRW to a SRW.

I take it from your signature your doing a body drop on a dually? FWIW, I think you would have a body drop of 3" instead of 1 1/2". At least that was my experience with my F150 when I dropped it.

I got a really good deal on a DRW even though I was looking for a SRW. I don't tow a whole lot and I'd rather just pay for 4 tires than 6. And it's hard enough to park a CC long bed without the dually fenders too.

he actually bought the truck dropped and wants to raise it back up a bit for towing...

I know what you mean Brown Falcon, parking that is. When you learn how to parallel park one of these, anything is possible.
