Intercooler Question for y'all

I have a 6.0 with intake, exhaust, egr delete, sct x3. Would the banks techni-cooler kit (intake elbow, piping, hoses and intercooler) help performance, temps, mileage at all? Would it be a wise purchase? I can get a used one for $1,000 Canadian, good buy?

I highly doubt that you'll see hundreds of HP gain, while the temp drops big time, and get 40 MPG. But, since the colder air contains more oxygen molecules, and because of that the combustion will be more efficient , there is a possibility that you'll gain some in all categories. But I also believe, that gain might not worth the money. (by the way, the Banks intercooler is a beautiful piece )
Of course it is your decision, but if what you looking for is performance, temps and mileage, you might want to look around, and read into Water/Methanol injection....

I have the Banks I/C in mine and to be honest with you I cant really tell if there were any gains. Maybe the truck has gotten a little better fuel mileage...maybe. It is expensive though. I would make sure to reroute the CCV before or during the I/C upgrade. Me I am not sure I would have bought it knowing that it possibly hasnt made a difference.

Well it sounds like there is 2 votes towards probably not. My buddy runs cummins and he has an intercooler and said it was a waste cuz he got nothing outta it. Maybe ill invest into something else I suppose. I know there are things I need more than an intercooler upgrade. Thanks
