Hey guys I was just curious if any off you have hood scoops on your truck? I have seen lots off different kinds. Just curious on how you like or dislike them. Give me some ideas on what to do here. If you have any pics off these that would be great. Ideas on cost and how hard to install these. Thanks for the help in advance.
IMHO I HATE fake hood scoops I have seen them on so many things it drives me nuts unless you got the bucks to get a true ram air hood or a cowl hood save your money and forget the little lund 70 dollar fake ones. Sorry if that offends anyone but thats the way I feel.
Hood scoops look great on some cars, but our TANKS don't need this. IMO. You will have every Dodge truck trying to race you if you have a scoop. Now, if you have something to back that scoop up with, that may be another story.
Yeh I agree with Rick. They try to race my truck the way it is. I think the right scoop looks good but some scoops are a big turn off. Maybe i will have have 2 different hoods. With an without the scoop. See how everybody reacts.
Yeh looks are not everything. I know a kid that has probably the most high powered superduty around. Its plain Jane an a sleeper. But he could probably blow away anybody that got next to him. Dont be fooled by looks. My truck is slow so I should probably forget about it.
I guess I am in the same boat....Besides...I like the idea of a sleeper.... I just ordered my DP-Tuner....and will be doing the muffler delete and 6637 mod. I like pulling up to someone with their lifted and oh so cool sounding truck just to get blown away by a farm truck. hehe

Now don't bag on a lifted truck too much, some of us need it!
