I've spent the weekend upstate and just thought I'd blab about it and not actaully be looking for help this time. I had to pickup my parent's boat and bring put it in the lake for them. The truck did great as usual, but the boat dikd not. It idled ok, but would stall once you engaged the drive (forward or reverse). Anyhow, we used the starter to get it across the lake and tied it off on the dock. I did my part, now it's a mechanic's problem to fix it. After that, I hooked a strap to a tree that dad cut down and it landed with the trunk buried. Hard to explain, but I dragged it over so it was on the ground. Ok, that's it. I just thought I would yap about why I had such a huge grin on my face ALL DAY yesterday.
I too did my 6.0 Happy dance a few weeks ago..although I didnt work it I just drove it 1000 miles in 4 days so it was awsome to ffinally spend some time in the D/S with the 6.0
Sarge261, what kind of fuel milage do you get in your 6.0L? I see you have basically all the banks "flow improvements" and wanted to know what you were getting before the add ons then after the improvements. sorry to be off topic, thanks
I was getting between 20-21 mpg when I took the trip. Mind you this was unloaded, running the Street Tune from innovative, and it was all between 55-74 mph. I dont usually see these numbers as I am always loaded with something and usually mostly city, small highway driving (55mph for short bursts)
I was just happy to see those numbers as so many say they get them but I never have until now. Makes me happy she has the potential.
