random misfire
Hope someone can help. I filled up with gas the other day in my 2003 expedition, 4.6,4x4. In about 30 minutes my service engine light was flashing, and it was running really rough at idle in drive at the lights. I went to Auto Zone to read the code it said random misfire in cylinder no. 5. I asked for suggestions what to fix. He didnt know. It has 100k miles so I"m sure it is time for new sparkplugs. Please tell me its not a 12 hour job like I read in a thread from someone else the other day in his 5.4. And is the Chiltons book really worthless in this excersise as mentioned in that same thread?
