87 4.9 fuel problem need help

87 4.9 fuel problem need help
87 f 250 4x4 4.9 it needed a starter so i let it sit a while put in the starter now no power to fuel pumps ,changed relay, jumpered tank selector switch,
can't get power no noise when key turned on ,fuel guage works , any ideas ,

the low pressure in tank pump is new and i did run the truck on this pump before the starter problem. Can anyone tell me where the pump gets grounded? can the inertia switch be bypassed? this is driving me crazy i know it's something stupid and easy but i can't seam to track it down.
if i can't get it in the next day or two i'll be really tempted to rewire the whole shootin' match to a toggle switch on the dash race car style

Try the simple little test at this link & see if the pumps come on.

BTW if your truck has a check engine light does it come on when you turn the key one click?

Should have mentioned that the ONLY thing you need to do is turn the key on & ground the fuel pump pin and see if the pumps run
You dont need to open the fuel line.
If the pumps dont run leave the pin grounded & check for 12 volts at the inertia switch under the dash.

I installed the 2 new relays and she's running strong. thanks for your help 87xlt. Now it's time for some body work
