Fire damage..Coil wire question
Carb was messed up and spitting gas everywhere, but that's a separate issue that I'm taking care of. Not sure how the igniting spark happened (coil to dist. wire was removed), but it definitely happened. Gas leak was why the extinguisher was handy.
The coil has three wires attached to it. Two run into the wiring harness and are easy enough to fix. The red wire with a green stripe, however, doesn't connect to anything. Attached to it is what looks like a plastic plug, but I can't tell what it connects to. I'm not sure if it was connected to anything before the fire. It's pictured below lying across the melted screw driver that's plugging the gas line.
Any ideas?
