Does anybody have a CB radio that I can borrow, or that they want to get rid of cheaply? I'm going on a road trip next weekend and I would like to have the extra assurance of a radio.
Buddy of mine has one he's selling. But, it's a fairly nice model and I think he wants $100.00 for it? I can find out if you are interested?
OR, you can go to any truck store and pick up a cheap radio for $40.00 and get a magnet mount antenna for $20.00 and a lighter plug adapter for $10.00. Wire it in and have a removeable CB for <$100.00. But, your not gonna get the reception or transmission you would with a better antenna setup.
Personally, I'd go that route but, permanently install an antenna and the CB.
No thanks Steve. I took my trip and everything went fine. It was a little touch and go around Amarillo the other night due to the weather, but we made it.
