update
looking into the distributor advance (which does make sense btw), the truck runs fine, until i hit about 25-3o mph..then the spitting and sputtering starts...and it really acts like bad gas...that is the best way to describe it...and when we drop into 1st it runs fine...like there''s nothing wrong at all...once we put it in drive that when the problems start...so that's where we are..we've managed to delay the problem, but unfortunately not fix it...yet...keep the suggestions coming...please...it's been a big help already
